How to Apply Preparation H Multi-Symptom Pain Relief Cream

Adults: when practical, cleanse the affected area by patting or blotting with an appropriate cleansing wipe. Gently dry by patting or blotting with a tissue or a soft cloth before applying this cream. Preparation H Multi-Symptom Pain Relief Cream is to be applied externally or in the lower portion of the anal canal only.
Apply to the affected area up to 4 times daily, especially at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement. A dispensing cap is enclosed to control dispersion of the cream to the lower portion of the anal canal. When first opening the tube, puncture foil seal with top end of cap.
To apply:
- Remove the protective cover from the dispensing cap and then attach the cap to the tube.
- Lubricate the dispensing cap then gently insert it partway into the bum.
- Squeeze the tube so that the cream is applied in the lower portion of the anal canal.
- Thoroughly cleanse the cap after each use and replace the protective cover.
- Wash your hands.

Multi-Symptom Relief contains the following ingredients:
- Glycerin (14.4%) – temporarily protects the affected area to make bowel movements less painful
- Phenylephrine HCl (0.25%) – a vasoconstrictor temporarily shrinks hemorrhoidal tissue
- Pramoxine HCl (1%) – local anesthetic that can help relieve soreness, burning, itching and pain associated with hemorrhoids
- White petrolatum – protectant to lubricate the affected area to make bowel movements more comfortable
